Chemong Physiotherapy is located in Bridgenorth at the Chemung Medical Centre. It serves residents of Bridgenorth, Lakefield, and the surrounding areas such as Smith and Ennismore. It is the first clinic of its kind to bring such comprehensive, advanced health services to the area north of Peterborough, which is largely under serviced.
The clinic was founded on principles of injury prevention and safe rehabilitation that returns people to work or activity as soon as possible. There is a strong emphasis on hands-on one-on-one treatment, education, and leading approaches for achieving overall health.
Brenda Wilson-Rupay a Physiotherapist at the clinic is one of the few local therapists trained to deliver the Melioguide Exercise Program (working with Osteopenia and Osteoporosis). It is a program designed for the independent adult to improve bone density and reduce fall risk.
In addition to Physiotherapy, Chemong Physiotherapy offers a comprehensive range of services in a multidisciplinary setting. Massage therapy is available by a Registered Massage Therapist. And, on-site foot care services are provided by Foot Care Nurses.
Fully equipped, the clinic features the latest rehabilitation technology, a full gym, and a spacious, relaxed environment.
An active part of the community, Chemong Physiotherapy invests time and resources to awareness programs including Fall Prevention for seniors and Back Pack Awareness for school children with both the public and separate school boards of education.
